First Day Flutters. Karkat!

{Ok, this is to clear up some things. NO. I am not putting a tag on this unless someone
specifically asks me too. I make it pretty clear to everyone, I find it unfair to block things so other people can't read it just because you don't like swearing. Honestly, if you don't like swearing then how do you even read Homestuck?}

...The smell of strawberries.

    "Hey fuckass." (Y/n) giggled, automatically recognizing the crabby troll she declared her best friend. He dropped his hands suddenly though, surprising her a bit. When she turned to look at him, she saw Karkat Vantas with a bright streak on his face as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.

    "Karkitten? What's wrong?" These words seemed to shock the red-blood and, when he realized what he'd been doing, caused his blush to glow even brighter.

    "Nothing asshat! I was just thinking is all!" (Y/n) stuck her tongue out playfully.

    "Karkitten, no need to get mad. I am your best friend after all, aren't I? I was just worried." She snuck through his arms to give him a bear hug, looking up at him. Even though Karkat was shorter than the other trolls, he was still a good two or so inches taller than her.
    Karkat sputtered, though he sighed and placed a hand on her head, rubbing it affectionately. (Y/n) nuzzled her head into his hand, then pulled back. Karkat opened his mouth, trying to tell her not to leave, though (Y/n) quickly hooked her elbow with his and pulled him into the class.

    (Y/n), I don't understand. Why don't I get mad at you? What makes you different?

    (Y/n) and Karkat eventually ended up in their first, only for Karkat to groan the minute he walked through the door. This was an AP class, meaning students from other grade levels were here. And, boy oh boy! Here came Kankri, Karkat's older brother.

    "Karkat, your rude noises could be triggering to some people, maybe you should think fi-"

    "Shut the hell up Kankri!" He stomped off, plopping down at a table. (Y/n) giggled, mouthing "Sorry" to Kankri before sitting next to him.

    "Karkaaaaaat~ Why're you so mean to your brother?" In a teasing voice she commented, "He's actually sort of cute." This caused Karkat to whip around and grab her by her shoulders.

    "Don't you DARE fucking tell me you're flushed for Kankri!" (Y/n) scoffed, mocking him by grabbing his shoulders.

    "No. Besides, falling for your best friend's brother is laaaaame~" Karkat flinched slightly, then turned away while mumbling something. She leaned closer and tilted her head. "What's that Karkitten?" He looked at her, hurt evident in his eyes.

    "So tell me then, is falling for your best friend lame too?" With that, he turned away and refused to answer her questions and pleas for the rest of the class period.

    It was now P.E., a dreadful class indeed. Although, it made Karkat's day worse to step out of the locker room after changing, only to see (Y/n) being hit on by humans and trolls alike.
    She looked pretty awkward from his view, and no wonder! Half of the idiotic males were staring at her chest! When she saw him, relief filled her eyes and it took all of his self control not to walk up there and bitchslap the shit-eating grins of all of them. Instead, he walked up to her, wrapped his arm around her waist and growled at every guy.

    "Back the fuck off of (Y/n), understand asshats?" (Y/n) glanced up at him in surprise, a small blush gracing her own features. After getting the idea they were together, the crowd of testosterone dispersed with a few quiet grumbles. (Y/n) went to thank Karkat, but the coach blew his whistle, signaling the beginning of class.

~~~~~~~~~~Time Skip to the End of the day.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    All through the day (Y/n) had heard quiet mumblings about the new "couple" that had formed. Who was in this couple? Why, none other than Karkat and (Y/n)! Each time (Y/n) would try to correct the gossipers, she would recieve a fit of giggles or snorts and assurances that "It's ok to be shy" and "Young love!" At the moment, (Y/n) was searching around for Karkat, hoping to get his help on stopping the gossip. In truth, (Y/n) was a bit, oh whatever!
    She was full on Flushed for the cranky, hot-headed troll. She was deep in thought when she bumped into to someone in the hallway. The person turned around as if he was going to say something, though quickly stopped. Well, look here! (Y/n) bumped right into the person she was looking for!

    "(Y-Y/n) Watch where you're going fuckass! What if I'd fallen?!" She stared up at her friend, her lip jutting out in a pout.

    "Karkitten! Everyone thinks we're a couple now!" Karkat shut up instantly, peering down at his friend in her adorable position.

    "And what's wrong with that huh?"

    "Because! I don't want people saying things that aren't true! It makes me feel happy, but I know it's not right!" He blinked, then tucked his finger under her chin. Her eyes widened slightly as a faint pink covered her cheeks.

    "What was that (Y/n)?" He pressed his forehead to hers. "It makes you feel happy?" When she nodded slowly, he chuckled. A deep, velvety smooth laugh that warmed her through and through. "Good. It makes me happy too. So why don't we just make it official? That way we can be happy forever." When he realized what he said, he pulled back, his own face the shade of a cherry.

    "K-Karkitten?" He hid his eyes behind his hair, fumbling with his fingers nervously.

    "W-What fuckass? I was just kidding okay?!" She shook her head, lifting his sweater over her head. Once inside, she peeked up at him from inside, able to see him through the collar.

    "I'd like that, I really would." His blushing faded slightly as he reached up the cup the back of her head. In an instant, he had popped his head inside his shirt and kissed her gently before pulling back.

    "Fine, but you're my fuckass, understand? Mine and mine alone!"
